Dr. Renu Jain of Gwalior became VC of Devi Ahilya University of Indore

Gwalior. Dr. Renu Jain, Head of the Department of Mathematics, Jiwaji University, Gwalior has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Devi Ahilya University Indore. Dr. Renu Jain (born 06 October 1956), B.Sc. degree in 1974 and MSc (Mathematics) in 1977 from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. In 1983, he was awarded the UGC Junior Research for PhD from Jivaji University. Served as a lecturer in the state government after taking leave on ad hoc basis from March 1981 to 1985.

In 1985, as a lecturer, Jiwaji University joined Gwalior’s School of Mathematics and Allied Sciences, became a Reader in 1987 and then Professor in 1998. In 1989, he was honored with the Nehru centennial British Commonwealth Fellowship to work as a post doctoral fellow in Imperial College, London. Under his guidance, 10 students have a PhD and thirty-five MPhil He has published thirty-six research papers in various research journals. He has organized several conferences and workshops. He gave lectures invited at various conferences and took part in many workshops and seminars.

Dr. Renu Jain is currently the Head and Co-Coordinator of the School of Mathematics and Allied Sciences, M.Sc. (Computer science). Presently he is chairing SHAW Cell of Jiwaji University. At the same time, he is in the top positions in six academic societies. He is also a member of the editorial board of Vikram University’s Vikram Journal of Mathematics. He is also Vice Chairman of the Mathematical Sciences Academy of Gwalior. He is also associated with many international journals.

Section-52 in the University

This post was vacant since the imposition of section 52 in Indore University on 24th June. Order has been issued by Governor Anandiben Patel’s signature. Jiwaji University is the Professor and Head of School of Mathematics at Gwalior. Now she has been made Vice Chancellor of the Goddess Ahilyabai University Indore. There is an atmosphere of happiness in his family.
